After a long day and a busy rally downtown Valdosta, the Johnson family still found the time to load Kenneth’s trailer hitched onto the back of his SUV and hunt down the city’s homeless – who the police moved when they found out the family had been bringing them food.

We still located the new location, which was a vacant lot near a residential area off of South Ashley, where a series of pitched tents were set up and 2 emaciated dogs without food or water were tied to trees. The homeless were not there, however; they’d returned to the bridge where they’d been moved from – and so they packed everything back up, without so much as a flinch or a groan, and went to the bridge. Kenneth was hot and I kept snapping shots of him till he laughed at me.

Their family is beautiful and united.
